Dr Beech started his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Neuroscience. He then completed a post-graduate degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Queensland. Dr Beech then worked as a junior doctor in surgery at the Ipswich General Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Gold Coast University Hospital. His training then continued with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide, as well as a Master of Philosophy at the University of Queensland. He then was accepted to undergo speciality training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, with hospital appointments at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, the Mater Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital and the Gold Coast University Hospital.
Committed to the advancement of his field, Dr. Beech is actively involved in research and education. He supervises PhD students and has published over 20 scientific papers, mainly in the field dental implant rehabilitation and facial trauma. His passion for staying on the cutting edge of oral and maxillofacial surgery ensures that his patients receive the best, most up-to-date treatment options available.
Dr. Beech is passionate about helping his patients regain comfort and confidence. But it’s not just about the surgery, it’s about the experience. Dr. Beech takes the time to truly understand each patient’s needs, ensuring that they feel heard, informed, and at ease every step of the way.
When he’s not helping patients, Nick enjoy spending time with his family, and keeps himself busy with 3 young children.

Dr Alistair Varidel is a highly skilled Australian-trained Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with expertise in corrective jaw surgery. Combining dual qualifications in Dentistry (University of Queensland) and Medicine (University of Sydney) with fellowships at Boston Children’s Hospital and the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Dr Varidel offers specialised care across the full spectrum of oral and maxillofacial conditions.

Dr. Varidel is passionate about helping patients achieve both functional improvement and aesthetic confidence. But it’s not just about the surgery—it’s about the experience. He takes time to understand each patient’s concerns, ensuring they feel heard and comfortable throughout their treatment journey.
His expertise was further enhanced through prestigious fellowships at Boston Children’s Hospital (Harvard) in Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery and at Royal Melbourne Hospital in Facial Trauma and Orthognathic Surgery, following his Advanced Training at the Royal Hobart and Royal Adelaide Hospitals.
Now practicing as a Consultant Surgeon in both public and private settings, Dr. Varidel specializes in corrective jaw surgery while providing comprehensive care for oral lesions, salivary gland conditions, TMJ pathology, facial asymmetry, clefts, wisdom teeth extractions, and dental implants.
With a commitment to cutting-edge techniques, Dr. Varidel ensures his patients benefit from the most current, evidence-based treatments available, all delivered with the perfect balance of technical precision and genuine compassion.
In Dr Varidel’s spare time he enjoys going camping in and around the Sunshine Coast.
